Dakhla (refugee camps) August 26, 2018 (SPS) – The Third International Conference of Solidarity with the Saharawi Students held Saturday in Dakhla, refugee camps, under the theme «the respect of international law for the liberation of the last colony in Africa» called for the intervention of the international community to put an end to the suffering of the Sahrawi people by enabling them to exercise their right to self-determination.
The conference appealed in particular to the United Nations and the Security Council to expedite the implementation of resolutions and recommendations related to the Western Sahara conflict in order to organize a free, democratic and fair referendum in which the Sahrawi people freely decide their destiny.
It praised the endurance and resistance of the Sahrawi people in their struggle for their right to self-determination and independence.
The conference called for the need to protect human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara and to monitor and report on them, stop the illegal looting of the natural resources of the territory, and dismantle the Moroccan military wall that represents a crime against humanity.
The Third International Conference of Solidarity with Saharawi Students was attended by delegations from Algeria, Spain, Cuba, Mauritania, Norway and Namibia. (SPS)

Harare ( Zimbabwe), 25 de agosto de 2018 (SPS) -. El Presidente de la República, Sr. Brahim Gali llegó esta tarde al aeropuerto internacional de Harare para asistir a la ceremonia de investidura del presidente electo de Zimbabue, Emmerson Mnangagwa.
El presidente Emmerson Mnangagwa jurará mañana al cargo como nuevo jefe de Estado y Gobierno de Zimbabwe.
El Jefe del Estado Saharaui fue recibido en la escalerilla del avión por la Ministra del Trabajo y Asuntos Sociales de Zimbabue, la Sra. Petronella Kagonye, y el Encargado de Negocios de la Embajada Saharaui en Harare Telleb Siddiq.
El también Secretario General del Frente POLISARIO lo acompaña una importante delegación que incluye al miembro del Secretariado Nacional del POLISARIO y Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores, Sr. Mohamed Salem Uld Salek, el Asesor de la Presidencia de la República a cargo de Asuntos Africanos Ahmed Salama y el Asesor del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores Malainin Lakhal y el Director de la Oficina del Presidente de la República Mohamed Molud Mohamed.SPS
Wilaya of Dakhla (Refugee Camps), August 25, 2018 (SPS) – The International Conference of Youth and Students in Solidarity with the Saharawi People was Saturday inaugurated in the wilaya of Dakhla in the Saharawi refugee camps, under the slogan «Respect for international law for the liberation of the last colony in Africa».
The conference, which is organized by the Students’ Union, aims to create a young student base for solidarity with the Sahrawi cause in various countries of the world.
The conference coincides with the 3rd Congress of the Sahrawi Student Organization and addresses important topics including the European Court of Justice’s decision and the illegal looting of Sahrawi natural resources, the Sahrawi issue within the African Union bodies, and the Sahrawi political prisoners in the Moroccan prisons.
